Dr. Dennis Galvon, family practice medicine, Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Seattle, Washington

"Dr. Galvon is completely up-to-date on all the new ways to practice [but] my family and I chose Dr. Galvon because of the 'old fashioned' way he practices. He gives you that one-on-one personal care that you cannot find anywhere else anymore."
-- D.A.

"As a patient I've appreciated the convenience of a local doctor, as well as the personal care I feel I receive during my visits."

About Dr. Galvon

Doctor Dennis Galvon, family practice Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Seattle Dr. Dennis Galvon has over 30 years of medical experience. He is from Olds, Alberta, Canada, and was educated at the University of Calgary, where he received his MD in 1979.

After interning at St. Joseph's hospital in Victoria, British Columbia, Dr. Galvon practiced in Victoria for fourteen years. There, his popular practice steadily grew to have a one year, new patient waiting-list. Such were the demands and constraints of his Canadian solo-practice that Dr. Galvon felt unable to offer the time and quality care patients deserved. To expand his medical and personal horizons, Dr. Galvon, with his family, subsequently accepted a three-year posting as Medical Superintendent for the tiny South Pacific nation of Vanuatu. (In 1994, Dr. Galvon established the Memorandum of Understanding with the Vanuatu government for "ViVa," the Victoria-Vanuatu Physician Project - www.vivaproject.ca.)

Returning to North America, the family settled in Northern California where Dr. Galvon had a busy clinical practice and served both as Chief of Staff at Glenn County Hospital and on the Board of Directors for the Sierra Valley Medical Group.

Finally, in 2002, the natural beauty of the Puget Sound Area brought the Galvons back to the Pacific Northwest. The Kitsap Peninsula has now become home for Dr. Galvon and his wife, Julie. Together, in Gig Harbor, they have created the ideal medical practice Dr. Galvon has always sought.

The Galvons have three grown daughters and Dr. Galvon enjoys people, music, computers, golf and kayaking.
